Perfect for the whole body, especially the back and joints! With clean hands, scoop up a small, dime size amount and apply to skin in upward motions. Apply makeup on top, or leave as is and heal your skin as you go about your day with confidence! The Reishi Cordyceps Cream can be applied during the evening time to heal the skin as you drift into the subconscious realm. Best used at night and morning, but can be used three to four times during the day if you feel the need.
Historical Findings
Ganoderma lucidum is widely used and recommended by Asian physicians and naturopaths for its supporting effects on the immune system. Preliminary laboratory research and limited preclinical trials have suggested that G. lucidum has potential anticancer and immunomodulatory properties, and cancer patients have been using G. lucidum-derived supplements more commonly as an alternative medicine. However, a 2015 Cochrane database review found insufficient evidence to justify the use of G. lucidum as a first-line cancer treatment. It suggests that G. lucidum may have “benefit as an alternative adjunct to conventional treatment in consideration of its potential of enhancing tumour response and stimulating host immunity.”
Cordyceps have a long history of use in traditional medicine. One of the earliest clear records is a Tibetan medical text authored by Zurkhar Nyamnyi Dorje in the 15th century outlining the tonic propensities of Yartsa gunbu (Cordyceps sinensis renamed now to Ophiocordyceps sinensis). Although there are often-repeated claims of thousands of years of use in traditional Chinese medicine, so far no clear textual source has surfaced. Although in vitro and animal models provide preliminary support for some of the traditional medicinal uses, there are no clinical studies demonstrating health benefits in humans or for “elderly populations, improved sexual drive and virility” and “improved renal function”. Some polysaccharide components and cordycepin, which have some anticancer activity in preliminary in vitro and animal studies, have been isolated from C. militaris.
